The Nankin armchair is a Napoleon III treat. This armchair is above all a small occasional armchair. Its sculpted back is inspired by the furniture of the Summer Palace in Beijing.
The front legs are in the shape of a banded baluster and the rear legs are in the shape of a saber. The sculpted structure is finely gilded on a vermilion red base.
